Making a difference

We Celebrate Life!

At our events live and online, we interact with an enormous number of dance lovers, DJ’s, artists, creatives and business partners. Annually, we buy an hire large amounts of equipment and handle them responsible. We are passionate about investing in personnel development and innovation. The way in which we deal with so much potential and responsibility is reflected in our company’s mission to ‘Celebrate Life’.

We aim to:

  • Inspire our fans to make a difference and offer ways to contribute at and around our festivals

  • Leave a positive environmental footprint and offering them a way to contribute

  • Coach talented musicians and creatives and offer opportunities to perform and grow

  • Work with companies that care as much about people and our planet as we do

With everything we do, our goal is to have a positive impact on human consciousness, where we help young people to become more aware of our individual and collective impact on the day to day world; ecologically, socially and spiritually. We have three programs: Celebrate Unity, Celebrate Nature and Celebrate Talent.

In 2014 our founders Duncan Stutterheim and Wouter Tavecchio made a documentary about ID&T’s development starting at its very beginning and telling the story of ID&T's transformation. It showcases their intention; to Celebrate Life and enable as many people as possible to experience the atmosphere of love, friendship, openness and unity at every single festival. You can watch the documentary here:

A Greener Festival Awards

We are very proud that we won several A Green Festival awards. Since 2007, the AGF Award Scheme has assessed and certified hundreds festivals, events and venues worldwide; providing independent audit and verification, and helping to improving resource efficiency, environmental impact and to ultimately become more sustainable.

Nothing beats celebrating the good life

Celebrate Safe

Partying is about not missing one moment of the lights, the music, the celebrating, the dancing. It’s about connecting with music lovers from around the world who have come together to experience the tie of their lives. It’s about being present and making the right choices.

The health and safety of our visitors who come together to celebrate life are of utmost importance to us. Unfortunately we have discovered that some of our visitors could be better informed about the risks that may come with extensive partying.

This why we have developed the ‘Celebrate Safe’ campaign in corporation with Unity. Given the importance of the matter, we have made the campaign publicly available. Nowadays most organizer in the Netherlands make use of it.

10,000 HOURS

10,000 HOURS

The 10,000 HOURS foundation was initiated by ID&T in 2010 with them aim to promote voluntary work amongst electronic music lovers all over the world, thriving on the sense of unity that is experienced at electronic music events and target to donate 10,000 hours of voluntary work. Using today’s positive forces to achieve a better tomorrow.

Depending on the location of the festival a 10,000 HOURS event gets organized in which our fans are fishing plastic trash from the Amsterdam canals or helping out nursing homes for the elderly. We inform our volunteers about local challenges, so they can donate time to be a part of the solution.

‘THE PROJEQT’ of Q-dance has grown into the biggest voluntary event in The Netherlands with 600(!) fans helping out the most vulnerable members of society and giving them a day they will remember for a long time to come.

Over time, other promoters, companies and education institutions have given their support to the foundation. Together 50 volunteer days have taken place and 65,000 hours of voluntary work are donated.

The pioneering conference on sustainability, innovation and social change.

ADE Green

ID&T and Amsterdam Dance Event launched ADE Green in 2013. Today, ADE Green is the pioneering conference on sustainability, innovation and social change in the music industry. Every year, the conference features international keynote speakers, food for thought in combination with practical hands-on workshops and a range of panels on different topics.

Tapwater. Our water
Tapwater

Tapwater. Our water

In 2014, ID&T realized water is easily taken for granted. You simply open up the tap and there it is; fresh ‘n clean. Or, when you are easily bored, you can choose water from a variety of springs and different bottles and bubbles. The only thing we tend to overlook, is its polluting transportation and the growing amount of plastic waste floating around in our oceans. Ever since, ID&T strives to offer fresh, filtered and free tap water at our festivals. Now-a-days this is becoming a mandatory requirement from our governments.

Never give up on your cup

Plastic Promise

In 2018 we joined the Plastic Promise, a national platform where knowledge and ambitions of pioneers are shared with the purpose to reduce the use of plastic in the event industry and to recycle all used plastic. Plastic Promise is an initiative of Green Events Netherlands and the Green Deal ‘Waste-free festivals’.

We also support ‘Never Give Up On Your Cup’, a national campaign from Plastic Promise with the purpose to encourage our visitors to bring back all used plastic cups and bottles to the bar, return point or trashcan, so they can be re-used or recycled.

Smart power plan

Powerful thinking

Our events thrive on lots of energy, unfortunately not only for dancing. Our vision is to organize events that do not lay waste to the environment, but which contribute to it. We try to use as little power as possible using the power grid and other renewable resources, such as solar panels Biodiesel from Goodfuels – this has zero emissions and is made of vegetable pulp and frying fat.

The aim is to work on innovative sustainable solutions, contribute to the beauty of the festival location and preserve the environment at the same time.

We aim to serve biological food at our events. We serve lots of vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options. Some of our events are totally vegetarian.
