What began in 2000 as a one-off event in the Amsterdam ArenA, is now an international phenomenon. Until now, Sensation has toured more than 34 countries and welcomed more than two million visitors worldwide. With the iconic all-white dress code and yearly renewed themes;
Sensation is a worldwide phenomenon.

After the inaugural Sensation event in 2000, Miles Stutterheim, the brother of former ID&T CEO Duncan Stutterheim had passed away in a tragic accident. Preparations were underway for the sophomore edition of Sensation and people contacted the ID&T office asking how they could pay tribute to Miles. The organization asked everyone to come dressed in white and this ‘dress code’ went viral, giving Sensation a magical dimension that didn’t go unnoticed. Attendance at the first Sensation was 20,000 and it doubled to 40,000 the next year. While Sensation has flourished over the years, the stunning sea of white is always a constant spectacle at each edition.

The Sensation concept has won awards for 'Best Event of the Year' in countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Brazil, and Denmark. Signature shows, such as ‘Innerspace’, ‘Ocean of White’, ‘Into The Wild’, and ‘Welcome to the Pleasuredome’ pair world-renowned DJs with extraordinary stage designs, acrobats, theatrical performances, state-of-the-art light shows, lasers, and fireworks. In 2017, for the first time, Sensation visited Dubai, Japan, India, and Mexico; guests in Dubai and India were treated to the first ever outdoor Sensation editions.
