For all who love
MilkshakeFestival is an open-minded electronic dance festival for all who love and takes place yearly in the city centre of Amsterdam since 2012. Milkshake shows that entertainment, music choice, choice of clothing have nothing to do with status, gender or sexuality. In previous years there have been 11 stages per day that showcase (inter)national event organizations, artists, and performance artists. The most played genres are electronic, house, disco, pop, techno, R&B, and dancehall.
Our intention is to create and give a platform to artists and performance artists, that support (or belong to) underrepresented community’s in our society. Life is a party thanks to the great diversity of skin colors, body shapes, sexual preferences, and gender identities. Thick, thin, small, large, gay, straight, trans, black, white, and everyone in between: ‘People are the salt of the earth and this is what we celebrate!'

Milkshake Festival is held annually in the Westerpark. This well-known park is located right in the centre of our capital Amsterdam, in a young, creative and lively neighborhood. The site of the Westerparkis a former gas factory that was completely refurbished at the beginning of the 21st century. It now has a cultural and recreational destination under the name of the Westergasfabriek
