First Names For Mysteryland 2016
An absolute audience favourite on the program is two-time Grammy winner Diplo, who will do the honours of closing out the Mainstage on Sunday in an extraordinary fashion. Another two-time Grammy holder on our roster is Dutch DJ and producer Afrojack, who will shut down the party on Saturday. We are thrilled that our beloved international superstar Martin Garrix who will be joining us for the fifth time this year. Radio hit master Robin Schulz will join this colossal roster, as does Galantis (live), Don Diablo, Gorgon City, Tchami, Lost Frequencies, Sam Feldt, De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, and Boys Noize.
Down below the Holy Pyramid lays the Q-dance stage where hardstyle masters including Wildstylez, Brennan Heart, and Atmozfears will be stomping the grounds inflicting the harder sounds to the masses. Also, be sure to witness the rare occursion of the almighty Noisecontrollers and Bass Modulators performing on stage together as NCBM.
Nestled on top of the enchanting pyramid stands The Big Top. Back by popular demand, it is up to the Spinnin’ Sessions army including Dutch dance music icon Sander van Doorn, Firebeatz, and VINAI to blow the lid off of our largest tent, and dictate the CO2 and confetti explosions once again.
Circus of Life
A new concept this year, Circus of Life takes you on a unique journey which gradually evolves from an uplifting beginning to a deep and intimate closing, with sounds spanning within the spectrum of vocal inspired big room house, club oriented house, and techno. The first known acts to debut this new area are Mike Mago and East & Young, who will be gracing the stage in a more natural, warm, and intimate setting, without all of the colourful confetti and CO2.
We are pleased to introduce an array of techno concepts this year. “The Baron of Techno” otherwise known as Dave Clarke will be showcasing his Dave Clarke Presents imprint on the former Floriade Terrain alongside industry heavyweights such as Surgeon featuring the legendary metal DJ queen Lady Starlight who has played a pivotal role in Lady Gaga’s career, Green Velvet, and Detroit love: Carl Craig & Stacey Pullen. “The Craziest Party in the World” aka Elrow will be making their Mysteryland debut with Seth Troxler, Skream, Michel de Hey & Benny Rodrigues, Apollonia, Patrick Topping, Santé b2b Sidney Charles, and Tom Trago on DJ duty. At Opacity, we go back to the core of the genre with Karenn (Blawan & Pariah – live), Luke Slater, and ROD.
On Saturday, head on over to the Heineken X Kriss Kross Amsterdam area hosted by the popular Dutch trio Kris Kross Amsterdam who’s latest track with Cheat Codes “Sex” is now a top 40 hit. Joining the stage is Miami based We are GTA who have received acclaim by some of the dance music’s most influential artists including Afrojack, Diplo, and Laidback Luke. The Heineken X The Partysquad Presents Rebel Yard on Sunday will showcase The Partysquad with their label Rebel Yard, Ronnie Flex & Lil Kleine who produced the most popular track in The Netherlands last year “Drank en Drugs” and even won the prestigious Pop Prijsin in January 2016, Dirtcaps, as well as Canadian bass guru A-Trak. A man who lives up to his name, FeestDJRuud “PartyDJRuud” will be blaring his blend of hip-hop, electro, and hardcore across the Haarlemmermeerse Bos grounds.
The Mini Madness Milkshake Island
The Mini Madness Milkshake Island is home to two fabulous areas. The Flexican & Sef who are known for many great musical contributions including their Major Lazer track with Busy Signal “Bumaye” is the first act confirmed to hold down the sweaty bunker of Vieze Poezendek on Saturday. At Supertoys on Sunday, Amsterdam Club Air residents Doppelgang and one of the most influential and longest running DJs in The Netherlands and abroad Joost van Bellen will be gracing the stage touching base on all spectrums of house, Chicago house, disco, eclectic, and everything in between. On Sunday, one of Amsterdam’s LBGT staples …Is Burning will take over dirty bunker with glittery disco house, Chicago house, and techno (artists for this stage will follow shortly - stay tuned).
Radio Noet Noet
We are excited to welcome back our Den Haag Afreakans of Radio Noet Noet to deliver the funk, disco, and world music vibes across the Haarlemmermerse Bos grounds. Alongside Radio Noet Noet at the African village, Nozinja aka the creator of Shangaan Electro will feature a special DJ set, and Sadar Bahar keeps the soul in the hole with his refreshing selection of rare cut records.
Head on over to The Bollywood Bar to dive into a crate digger’s paradise. Studio Barnhus and Triphouse Rotterdam share more than just a common love and interest to push the underground scene forward. Bringing people, music, and culture together in a positive light through their passion for vinyl, modern day house, disco, and techno vibes with a twist. Studio Barnhus label-head masterminds Axel Boman, Kornél Kovács, & Pedrodollar alongside Khalil & Steven Pieters will be on DJ duty.
